A reader sent me these scans from an old issue of Popular Mechanics. Here’s the older conceptual artwork from Walt Disney Studio’s sci-fi film, “The Black Hole”, from 1979.
Famous space and aviation artist, Robert T. McCall (Bob T. McCall) did these conceptual renderings for the Walt Disney Studios, probably in 1977. One of the first headers on conceptships.
A great photograph of Bob painting with his wife Louise.
