Concept ships by Vincent Gravière

Dirtybrush blog.

In the year 2030, mobility is in upheavals. Our daily displacements are completely codified, numbing most of our feelings. The time when having personal means of transport was synonymous with freedom and projecting a multitude of positive symbols, has ended.
Mobility becomes utility.
Based on this forecast, I decided to work on a pleasure object, allowing movement in the third dimension.
My concept, Wind Seed is directly inspired by the seed of a maple tree and its architecture. It fits in a universe of pleasure, where displacement is there only to serve our amusement and our curiosity involving the world which surrounds us.

Papercraft Drink Umbrellas

I don't usually post projects from the "crafty" branch of the papercraft family tree, but I thought these little gems were worthy of attention. Nothing says "festive" like a umbrella in your drink, especially when you are at a summertime party. These do-it-yourself papercraft drink umbrellas come in six different patterns all contained in a single printable PDF file available for download here. In addition to the paper shades, all that is required is wood skewers and some plastic beads for the top.

Mosaic Monday/ Rosie The Bull Terrier

Rosie and Mosaic
Originally uploaded by trjcraft
Posting this one for my assistant's Mom to enjoy. Lola comes from a Bull Terrier family, her Mom shows Bullies, and takes ribbons. It is a great breed, and one of the few that my husband has mentioned possibly wanting besides the Scotts.

I do not know much about this mosaic artist ( trjcraft), and just discovered her this morning over at Flickr. She has some great ATC's and quilts in her photo stream as well. Click through on the photo to visit her stream and see more of her art and more of Rosie the Bull Terrier.

Kingdom Hearts Papercraft: Yuffie's Shuriken

I took a break from some of the more complicated papercraft projects I have in progress and put together this simple papercraft based on a 3D model from the Kingdom Hearts 1 video game. The character Yuffie first appeared as a secret character in the Final Fantasy VII video game. In Kingdom Hearts, one notable difference in Yuffie's appearance compared to her FFVII appearance is that her shuriken weapon is much smaller. For this papercraft version of her KH shuriken I tried to make the finished size as close as possible to how it appears in the video game. The template info is as follows:

Scale: 1:1 (estimated)
Finished size: 12" (30.5 cm) tip to tip
Number of pages: 2
Number of parts: 5
Difficulty: 2/5

Dragon Wing Tattoo Smart Car Papercraft

"Mad Mike" at the Smart Forum, an online forum for German owners of Smart Cars, has created a Smart Car papercraft based on digital photographs of his very own car. Mike's car has been customized with what he calls "dragon tattoos". I am still curious how he was able to photograph the reflective roof of the car without himself showing up in the reflection. The .GIF template for the car may be downloaded here.

June has been a little quiet around here. Work has been steady, but I often find myself feeling caught up, which is such a rare thing here at Art Paw. I will be having a few small promos in July so be sure and follow the blog for news of those sales.  Or you can follow us over at  Face Book and get sale updates that way.

About the Art:
At the top we have Curly and Sammy. This project was commissioned by one of my flickr pals.  I have a few minor updates to do on these two early next week and then I can finalize and ship. We are excited that she included her project on her blog.

Reese was an adorable little pup that shipped out this last week. My assistant was very excited that the client ordered her favorite background option, and I have to say it did print up lovely.

MONTHLY HEADER #60: John C. Berkey

John Berkey is pretty much the reason conceptships exists. I was actually hoping that John would see this site and perhaps leave a comment underneath someone's art. Sadly, John passed away on April 29, 2008. I've always wanted to collaborate on a piece of Mr. Berkey's art so this July header fills the void. The first artist to have two Headers. Thanks John, this blog truly is dedicated to your memory. HD header.
